Philip R Gibbs - Chairman & Owner

Philip Richard Gibbs (Phil Gibbs), MBA, PgDPVM, CDipAF, FCMI, FIRPM, FRICS is the majority owner, Chairman and Managing Director of P R Gibbs & Co Limited of which Gibbs Investment is a trademark. Phil Gibbs has many years’ experience in his specialist professional areas of real estate investment, asset management and development appraisal.

Phil Gibbs is from a family of real estate professionals and was first introduced to property as a schoolboy working during school holidays in his father’s construction firm in his home town in Greater Manchester. Phil studied at Sheffield Hallam University and gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Property Valuation and Management. Following further studies at the University of Central Lancashire and Manchester Metropolitan University Phil achieved a Post Graduate Certificate with Distinction in Property Law and the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants Diploma in Accounting and Finance. Phil has also formally qualified as a Civil Commercial Mediator and as an Expert Witness. Phil believes in lifelong learning and professional development and is currently studying for a MBA (Masters Degree in Business Administration).

Phil Gibbs has professional qualifications that include being a Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS); a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI); a Fellow of the Institute of Residential Property Management (FIRPM).

Keen on community and voluntary work, Phil is a Trustee of a regional charity, The Bond Board, assisting vulnerable people find housing in the private rented sector and is a Trustee of a local community of the international charity Emmaus that assists people in need back into society through community living and working. As a member of his local Rotary International Club Phil is a member of its International Committee. Previous voluntary work has included being Deputy Chairman of the HM Government NTO (National Training Organisation) Key Potential – Housing. Phil served a number of years on the Residential Property Committee of the British Property Federation.

Phil Gibbs travels extensively internationally including Asia, South East Asia and South America. Phil has visited China no less than sixteen times where he has made many friends, enjoyed the rich culture and fascinating history of the worlds first civilised nation. Phil has family and many friends in South America where in Brazil he has a beautiful God Daughter he refers to as Princess Emily Clara and of whom he is particularly proud.
